Sales Agreement & Pricing
Please read our sales agreement before inquiring about a rabbit. If a rabbit is purchased it will be assumed that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement. This policy applies to anyone who purchases a rabbit weather they choose to read the agreement or not.
Ellie’s Rabbitry does not sell Mini Plush Lop breeding animals. All customers agree to and sign a Spay/Neuter Contract.
I require non-refundable deposits on all rabbits.
Mini Plush Lop Deposit: $100 (Average Price range: $275-325) Please note the Spay/Neuter contract on bottom of page!
English Angora Deposit: $100 (Average Price Range: $300-350)
Lionhead Deposit: $50 (Average Price Range: $150-175) Specialty colors are more expensive

I will not promise a rabbit to anyone until I have received their deposit!
I DO NOT sell any breed of rabbit for under $100. Rabbits tend to be impulse buy pets much like kittens and other small pocket pets. One way to prevent my rabbits from going to impulse buy families is by not selling them for under $100. This ensures that a buyer has put thought into the purchase and can also afford supplied and care after purchase.
Deposits are made by check or money order and sent to my home address. Please see "How to Place a Deposit" page.
A bunny will not leave my home unless the balance is paid. Deposit receipts are emailed only and are sent as soon as I receive the deposit payment.
I cannot offer discounts for multiple rabbits. I am happy to sell Holland Lop, Lionhead and English Angora breeding rabbits, but do not offer Mini Plush Lop breeding rabbits. If you wish to purchase multiple Mini Plush Lops, they must be of the same gender.
I will not sell a rabbit unless I am sure they will be well taken care of. If I refuse a sale I WILL refund your deposit in full.
I typically have several babies at a time, but if the gender or color you were hoping for is not born, I will put your name on the next waiting list. If you pay a deposit YOU WILL receive a bunny and I try my best to give every buyer a rabbit they love.
Rabbits are animals so they are often unpredictable. I do my best to breed a rabbit but sometimes I have a bunny not give birth to a healthy litter or not give birth at all. Because of this, I cannot guarantee I will have a baby for you at the expected waiting list time, but I try my very hardest not let customers down. For example, you may be signed up on the Easter waiting list and then because of an unexpected shortage of babies, I may have to sadly move you to the next waiting list. This does happen occasionally so your patience is appreciated.
First come first serve. I have several breeding does and I never know exactly what color or gender their kits will be. So, the sooner I get your deposit the higher up on the list you will be, allowing you to have more choices when it comes to color and gender!
How buyers pick their babies
At a month of age I take photos of each baby and load them onto a word document with a description and price next to each baby’s photos. I email the word document to each buyer in the order of the waiting list. The buyer then responds to the email and lets me know which baby they have chosen. I then delete that baby off the word document and send the remaining photos to the next person on the waiting list.
This process takes only a few days to complete and is the most efficient and fair way for people to choose their bunnies. Buyers are notified in advanced so they know when to expect the document to be emailed to them. They are expected to choose as quickly as possible, I try to send the document to 2 families per day as to not hold up the process and not keep excited buyers waiting to choose their bunny. If the word document has been sent to you and I do not get a response within 48 hours, the document will continue to be forwarded to the next person on the waiting list! If you have received the document and chosen a rabbit by responding via email with your pick, the sale is considered final.
You cannot change your mind and request to choose a different baby until the remainder of the people on the waiting list have chosen. You cannot change your deposit to another breed if you have already chosen a rabbit from a particular waiting list. If you decide you would like two bunnies but have placed a deposit for only one, you can still do so, but you must provide a second deposit and choose the second rabbit after everyone else on the waiting list has chosen.
Once a bunny has been chosen, please be patient and do not request more pictures or videos.
I used to take additional pictures and videos at buyers requests but it became overwhelming with school and a job. I try to take great pictures to put on the document so you have a good sense of what your bunny looks like.
What Do Bunnies Come with?
All Mini Plush Lops come with a birth certificate and care packet as well as a bag of transitioning food.
Lionheads come with care packet and a birth certificate or pedigree upon request as well as a bag of transitioning food.
Angoras come with a care packet and birth certificate or Pedigree upon request. as well as a bag of transitioning food
Holland Lops come with a care packet and birth certificate or Pedigree upon request as well as a bag of transitioning food.
If you purchase a Holland Lop, Lionhead or English Angora, the rabbits must retain the prefix “Ellie’s Rabbitry” on all offspring's pedigrees.
Buyers are expected to pick up their rabbits within 2 weeks of the ween date. Wean dates are posted on the word document that is sent to each buyer to pick out their rabbit. Once a buyer and I discuss and agree upon a pick up date and time, if the buyer does not pick up their rabbit within that 2 weeks, with not notice or explanation as to why the rabbit has not been picked up, I will have to award the rabbit to the next person on our waiting list. Deposits are not refunded.
If a buyer is not able to pick up their bunny within 2 weeks of weaning age I can hold a bunny for a daily fee of $3 to cover food and care costs as long as it is previously planned beforehand and the time does not exceed a month. If after a month, I will put the buyers name on the next waiting list. They are still required to pay the daily fee for the rabbit they did not pick up.

I offer a Conditional Warranty for those that come to my home for pick-up and live locally. I WILL NOT sell a rabbit to anyone if I feel there is a health issue. My goal is to breed happy, healthy rabbits and have happy satisfied buyers. If a rabbit dies or becomes seriously ill within 5 days, I will either refund the customer or give the customer a new rabbit only IF I feel there has not been any harm or lack of proper care for the rabbit and vet documentation is provided. I will make sure each buyer feels confident and comfortable taking their new rabbit home before they leave.
Long road trips can be stressful to a rabbit. Many rabbits go on long road trips with their new families to their new homes and arrive safe and sound. But, I do not offer refunds to those who purchase rabbits and live outside of Kentucky and/or go on long over-night road trips home. Loud music and children, hot cars, and environmental change can be detrimental to a rabbits health. Long road trips are at the buyers risk and bunnies that do mot make it to their destination will not be refunded.
Health defects that are discovered 3 months after purchase or later will not be refunded
If you want or need your rabbit to visit a veterinarian before purchase for any reason, please let me know ahead of time so I can take the bunny and get the appropriate documentation. A $60 fee will be required before taking the rabbit to the vet to cover the initial vet visit as well as to cover the documentation that will be collected at the visit.
I WILL NOT refund the cost of a rabbit if a buyer later decided a rabbit isn’t a good fit for their family or they are no longer able to care for it. I will also not refund a rabbit if a family doesn’t feel the rabbit is well behaved. Bunnies are like puppies and can pick up bad habits if not properly disciplined.
It is difficult to sex a rabbit at weaning age, mistakes are always possible. I encourage and expect buyers to also check the sex and health of the rabbit before purchase. I am not obligated to exchange a rabbit because of a sex error but I will consider it if it is brought to my attention within a reasonable time-line.
I always try to take back unwanted rabbits from Ellie’s Rabbitry. The rabbit will not be refunded. The rabbit will need to come with the cage he/she was living in because I do not have unlimited cage space. I also ask that the rabbit be returned with it’s birth certificate or pedigree. I may not accept a rabbit back if I suspect it is ill, I cannot risk the health of the rest of my rabbits by taking in a sick rabbit. My rabbit house is small so space is limited, I may not be able to fulfill this offer if I don’t have enough room in my rabbit house.
Mini Plush Lop Spay/Neuter Contract:
All buyers of Mini Plush Lops sign and agree to a Spay/Neuter Contract which will be signed upon pick up. Rabbits are required to be spayed or neutered within 7 months of their birthdate. Follow up will take place to make sure all Mini Plush Lops are spayed or neutered. This contract will be enforced.
Mini Plush Lop Spay/Neuter Agreement
Permanent ownership of this MINI PLUSH LOP is contingent upon your compliance with this Addendum. Proof of the spay/neuter must be received by the (PURCHASER’S NAME) within fourteen (14) days after the surgery. In the event that the Rabbits health does not allow this agreement to be honored, Ellie’s Rabbitry must be provided with a statement from your veterinarian that this rabbit is not yet in physical condition for surgery. Based upon the veterinarian’s evaluation of this Rabbit the (purchaser) will contact the veterinarian and establish the earliest date that the procedure can be performed. (PURCHASER) will notify the BREEDER of this amendment in writing, at which time all other conditions of this agreement will apply and be enforced.
This is the responsibility of the PURCHASER, not the veterinarian, to ensure that Ellie’s Rabitry has received verification that the surgery has been performed. Failure to comply with this agreement by the date below, unless otherwise agreed to in writing, will be considered a breach of the Contract, and PURCHASER will transport the MINI PUSH LOP back to Ellie’s Rabbitry and will not be entitled to a refund or will be fined the value of the rabbit per the amount that was paid at pick up as well as the $100 deposit.
By my signature below, I agree to have this MINI PUSH LOP spayed/neutered by no later than__________________________, and I understand that this spay/neuter agreement is an agreement that this RABBIT will not produce a litter of kits either as purposely bred or by accidental breeding. I also agree that should this MINI PLUSH LOP not be altered that I will return said MINI PLUSH LOP back to Ellie’s Rabbitry with no refund.
